Crust Worthy is a small-scale community-supported baking operation. All of their bread is naturally leavened with wild yeast and slow fermentation. Everest Eats is a family-owned, fully plant-based non-subscription meal delivery service, and they also do catering and consulting. Their meals are fully prepared and delivered to the customer's doorstep with very minimal preparation time required. Weekly menus are posted on Everest Eats' website as well as on their social media pages, and ordering closes each Wednesday at midnight for delivery on the following Tuesday. Haskel's Delicatessen
Haskel's Delicatessen is a popular local food truck. They are Pittsburgh's first knish vendor, and their rotating menu includes vegan versions of Jewish deli staples. Typical vegan-as-is items include potato knishes (a happy little baked mashed potato pie with caramelized onion and paprika; rhymes with “delish”), stuffed cabbage fried rice, fried rice with seitan chunks, and a seitan pastrami sandwich! While Greek food can be meat-heavy, Cretan food (from the island of Crete, Greece) is very veg-friendly! Zoi's recipes have been passed down for generations in the creator’s family, and she has created her own vegan twist. The delicious menu rotates weekly, and typical offerings include baklava (made with agave), grape leaves, and Greek oil cookies. Their healthy meal preps come in 32-ounce containers which are also freezable. Zoi's goal is to cater to your mind, body, and soul.
